UAE . World-renowned Nepali pastry and bakery chef Human Prasad Limbu has been elected as the president of the Nepal Chef Society UAE.
The gathering held in Dubai on Monday in the special presence of the central president of the International Nepali Chef Society, Arun Adhikari, bid farewell to outgoing president Uddhav Shrestha and gave a grand welcome to the new executive committee members, including the newly appointed president Limbu.
At the program, Central President Arun Adhikari wished the newly elected executive committee a successful tenure. Integrating Nepali chefs around the worldHe said that the goal is to promote Nepali cuisine, contribute to improving food quality, and provide institutional support for the personality development of Nepali chefs.
Newly appointed Chairman Limbu expressed his commitment that the new working committee will protect the rights and interests of the chef community and promote Nepali cuisine at the international level.
Who is the newly appointed President Human Limbu?
Born in the remote mountainous village of Chhathar Panchakanya-3, Wasmeri, Terhathum, Nepal, Human Limbu began his culinary journey at the age of 10, learning traditional cooking techniques from his grandfather and mother. He later completed his higher education at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, before pursuing advanced culinary training at Lenôtre Paris, specializing in pastry and bakery. His career took off when he joined the pre-opening team at the Sofitel Hotel JBR Marina, Dubai. Since then, he has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hospitality brands, including the Accor Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels, Marriott Hotels Group, Atlantis Hotels Group, Hilton Hotels Group, and Dorchester Collection.
With over 20 years of experience, Limbu has played a vital role in establishing 17 five-star luxury hotels and developing two confectionery manufacturing companies across the Middle East. His expertise spans high-end pastry production, from large-scale hotel operations to boutique pastry shops and international production facilities.
Moreover, Human Limbu is the first Nepali national to receive the Golden Visa in the Middle East as a professional pastry and bakery chef, awarded by the Government of Dubai. His management excellence was recognized when he was named Best Manager of the Year at the prestigious St. Regis Hotel.
His relentless pursuit of excellence and innovative approach to boulangerie and patisserie have made him a highly respected name in the global culinary industry.
Limbu’s accomplishments extend beyond his work in the kitchen. He was a key figure in the success of Bonbon Café by Angelo Musa at The Lana Dubai, Dorchester Collection, which was awarded The Best Pastry Shop Opening in the World by La Liste 1000 in 2024. Additionally, he was nominated for Best Pastry Chef of the Year by The Pro Chef Middle East in 2020.
Limbu, who currently works with the Dorchester Collection, was also recognized as the Best Bakery Chef in the Middle East 2024 by NL International Hospitality Group. With his extraordinary contributions to the hospitality industry, he has solidified his place as one of the most celebrated chefs in the world.
