Kathmandu : inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, is reinforcing its commitment to fair rides, freedom of choice, and driver empowerment in Nepal through a 0.01% service fee initiative for driver partners. As part of this time-bound campaign, inDrive will implement a near-zero service fee of just 0.01% for driver partners in Nepal starting February 2026. Complementing its peer-to-peer approach that enables mutual agreement on fares, the initiative is designed to safeguard driver earnings while maintaining platform sustainability.
Although technically retained for essential operational continuity, the 0.01% fee allows drivers to keep almost 100% of their ride earnings, reinforcing their autonomy and decision-making power within the platform. This 0.01% service fee campaign is inDrive’s way of giving back to the hardworking individuals who keep the city moving every day. By easing financial pressure and enabling higher take-home income, the initiative offers drivers a meaningful opportunity to earn more during this period.
“At inDrive, we see ourselves as part of a larger community, and we believe strong communities are built on mutual support,” said Ms. Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist, inDrive Nepal. “By offering a 0.01% service fee, we want to ensure that our driver partners can earn more while passengers continue to enjoy safe, fair, and affordable rides. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to freedom of choice, fair pricing, and safety for everyone.”
Beyond immediate benefits, the campaign also serves as a learning initiative, allowing inDrive to better understand the impact of near-zero service fees on driver engagement, service quality, and long-term platform sustainability. The company remains committed to responsible growth, regulatory compliance, and fair competition, while contributing positively to Nepal’s evolving digital and gig-economy landscape.
